Op-Shop

Op ShopYou step back in time when you visit St. Luke’s Op-Shop in Campbell Town. It is situated in a building constructed in 1845. It was originally used as a Sunday School and then later as a Day School from 1851 until the State School was built in Bridge Street. A Community Grant has helped us renew the roof, as per Heritage Tasmania recommendations, and install some much needed insulation.

Since its beginnings around ten years ago it has become an integral part of Campbell Town as it serves the surrounding community. Step inside and you will discover a treasure trove of clothing, books and bric-a-brac.

The shop has become a popular stop for travellers visiting the island. Many are caught out with our weather and leave with much needed warmer clothing or on the rare occasions of a heat-wave, summer things.

A dedicated band of volunteers work tirelessly in the shop and behind the scenes.

In January 2022 the Midlands Anglican Op Shop volunteers were awarded the Northern Midlands Council Award for Volunteering 2022. This Award recognises not only the huge amount of work which the volunteers put in each week to sort, display and sell the donations handed in - giving new life to goods no longer needed. It recognises the open and welcoming nature of the shop to everyone that calls in whether they are regular customers, those in need, or visitors to the state looking for things that will make their visit to Tasmania more comfortable.

Opening Hours

Op Shop - The Op Shop will be open Tuesday to Friday from 10am-4pm.
These hours are subject to change at short notice.
It would be helpful if any donations can be handed in when the shop is open and not left outside.
Thank you for your understanding.
